Investment options, performance and holdings

qut-03-weights2

Past performance is not an indicator of future performance. Returns are after fund taxes and investment expenses but before account-based fees. Members should be aware that the returns applied to their account will depend on the investment option(s) they invest in, the period of time they were invested in the option(s), and the timing of cash flows into and out of their account. Note the graph and any CSV download combines daily interim crediting rates to determine the cumulative return for the relevant investment option. The cumulative return reflected at quarter-end may change at the point final quarterly crediting rates are applied.

Transition to retirement (TTR) investment performance

From 1 July 2017, investment earnings from Flexi Pensions taken under transition to retirement (TTR) rules are taxed. Refer to the 'Pension' tab for investment performance of TTR accounts before 1 July 2017, and the 'Super and TTR' tab for investment performance after 1 July 2017.

Example 1

On 1 July 2018 a member with a TTR account wants to review the investment performance of TTR accounts over the last five years.

For investment performance between:

  • 1 July 2013 and 30 June 2017 – refer to the ‘Pension’ tab
  • 1 July 2017 and 30 June 2018 – refer to the ‘Super and TTR’ tab

Note: if you have a TTR pension and satisfy a condition of release after 1 July 2017 (e.g. reaching age 65), standard Flexi Pension fees will apply (i.e. administration fees, investment fees and ICR)—you should refer to pension returns from that date onwards.

Example 2

The same member from Example 1 turns 65 years old on 30 September 2018. On 1 December 2018 the member wants to review the investment performance of TTR accounts since 1 July 2013.

For investment performance between:

  • 1 July 2013 and 30 June 2017 – refer to the ‘Pension’ tab
  • 1 July 2017 and 30 September 2018 – refer to the ‘Super and TTR’ tab
  • 1 October 2018 and 30 November 2018 – refer to the ‘Pension’ tab.
